- Gello is a Finnish, all-female a cappella ensemble formed in 2005. In the past years Gello has come a long way from traditional a cappella and cover songs to writing their own music. Gello is trying to blur the line between a vocal group and a band and invalidate common preconceptions about vocal music. They are constantly searching for new sounds and ways to use their voices alongside with electronic effects and self-made recycled instruments. Gello sings in their native language and the songs deal with current issues in the society and human behavior. A slight element of leaving and traveling is always present in Gello's music.
2014
Gello had is farewell-for-now concert "Minne matka" ("Destination where") in Helsinki Music Hall Black Box. The concert included video art by Emma Luukkala and light design by Tatu Tulikoura.
